Our Planet

A simple example of such activities that has affected the planet is the burning of fossil fuels. And examples of fossil fuels are coals, crude oil, natural gas, etc. Fossil fuel are formed from decayed plants and animals that lived millions of years ago. Discovery of fossil fuels has without any doubt changed the world and helped to improve the quality of life. However, the residual impact of activities surrounding the use of fossil fuels are devastating. For instance, land degradation through construction of infrastructures such as pipelines and processing facilities, water pollution through oil spills and leaks, emissions which has led to global warming and air pollution, are some of the challenges presented by activities surrounding fossil fuels. These have raised the question whether humans can sustain the natural resources that make this world planet earth.
